The dream to be a cowboy
born in Annapolis Maryland I have always wanted to live a life as a horsemen and God has given me that chance here at the J&C Ranch. When my mom dropped me off for daycare everyday I had out door time and right across the street was Days End Farm Horse Rescue, Everyday I would sit out in the yard and watch the horses, the one horse in the field was white so like any kid would do I named him snowball. then I got in trouble that day because I would not go in. well the next day my mom went over and asked if we could help with the horses well sure enough they were looking for volunteers so at four years old I got to start my life with horses and its been that way ever since as I grew up and to this day im always learning I've been blessed to have learned and worked with mentors in my life like David Beard and Brooke Vrany. when they first took me under their wing at the age of 17, the first thing David told me was “ Jimmy things change, life changes so does animals” so everyday I try to learn something new the day you stop learning is the day you will stop getting better. So every day I'm always looking to get better rather its through the mistakes I've made or work along side someone else, I'm always learning. And to this day my dream to be a horsemen has never changed. And here at J&C Ranch we will do our best to fit your boarding and training needs.

COURTNEY KING

Courtney's love of horses started at the age of 4. She started riding Hunter/Jumpers at the age of 5. She got her first pony at the age 11, Showed in Hunters locally and always in the ribbons. She has also rode green ponies/horses. At the age of 14 she bought a 3 year old OTTB and has trained him from the ground, into a dressage horse. At the age of 16 Courtney has competed local shows with him in Hunter/Jumpers and dressage. She has always had the passion and love for horses and always learning to be a better horsemen. Courtney teaches a wide variety of lessons from starting horses to training them in any discipline
